MBTI App Giggle
Timeline:  3 Months
Tools Used:  Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma
My Role:  I developed a test app for users to check their MBTI. This was a project I managed entirely on my own, from planning and UX research to the final design.
Background
In Korea, there has been a huge boom in interest in MBTI among younger generations, particularly as they began to engage with it. Given this trend, and considering the social challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I started with the idea of creating an app that younger users could utilize during these times.
Pain Point & Solution
Information Architecture
Based on the solutions derived from my research, I created a structure that considers user convenience, allowing the app functions to be used efficiently.
Design Library
I created everything from planning and concept to all the illustrations by myself.
Coherent Design Expression
The core functions of the app are illustrated, connecting the splash and walkthrough screens. I wanted to convey the related information visually.
Tailored to User Needs
Users' preferences were identified in advance to guide them from sign-up to the test screen.
Direct Search for Personalities You're Curious About
Through various content displayed on the main screen, users can go directly to their desired tabs. By entering the desired keyword or personalities you're curious about, you can quickly find related posts.
Your Own MBTI Certificate 1
The MBTI tab provides your own certificate and MBTI Reader. Through the banner in the center of the screen, you can quickly see what types of events are available in the app.
Your Own MBTI Certificate 2
Each personality is expressed as an illustration to help you understand the different types, and you can share the results with your friends through the image storage and sharing service.
Our playground community
Hot topics and chat content can be checked at a glance, and the hashtag function allows users to quickly search for the type of question they are interested in.
Chat
You can chat with various personalities through the chat tab.
Fun to Collect: Reward Badges
On My Page, you can view your badges and see the requirements to earn the next badge. By providing badges to users, we motivate and encourage them to test and engage with the content.
Reflection
While creating the MBTI app Giggle, I learned how to design user interfaces that effectively convey complex personality insights, manage data visualization, and tailor user experiences through research and testing.
